Megan Knight is a local, born and raised in Ellicott City.
While in high school, she watched Jamie Costello on Good Morning Maryland before class. She interned with Kelly Swoope in college. Little did she know her career would wind up at the TV station she grew up watching.
Megan moved away for a bit to attend Syracuse University and work in Utica, N.Y., as a producer, reporter, and morning anchor.
During her time at WMAR, she started behind the scenes as an Associate Producer for Good Morning Maryland. Then she got back in front of the camera as a reporter for GMM, covering everything from city crime and politics to health stories and breaking news.
Now, she is a co-anchor on the morning show she first started watching as a teen.
Megan also covers Howard County and focuses on feel-good stories of people making a positive impact in their community.
