BALTIMORE — Baltimore City wrapped the year 2025 with 133 homicides, down 61 from 2024.
In April 2026, there were 4 recorded homicides and 29 non-fatal shootings.
Since September 2020, WMAR-2 News has tracked daily murders and shootings in the city each month.
Here is May 2026:
5/30: 11:30pm: Lamont Gooding, 20, was stabbed to death outside the Lord Baltimore Hotel at 20 W. Baltimore Street.
5/30 - 5:30pm: A 55-year-old man was shot in the 3900 block of Bateman Avenue. His injuries are considered non-life-threatening. Police arrested and charged 62-year-old Melvin Talbot.
5/30 - 3:40am: Two men, 21-year-old Tyriel Simms and an unidentified 21-year-old, were shot in the 2900 block of Spellman Road. Simms later died.
5/30 - 12:55am: A 32-year-old man was shot near Baltimore and Charles Streets. He's expected to survive.
5/30- 12:42am: A 34-year-old man was shot in the 6900 block of Harford Road. He's in serious condition.
5/28 - 3:17pm: A 14-year-old boy was shot in the 3600 block of Noble Street. He is listed as stable.
5/28 - 2:37am: A man was shot in the 200 block of S. Broadway. He's expected to survive.
5/27 - 8:19pm: A 34-year-old man was shot in the 1400 block of Mountmor Court. He's expected to survive.
5/27 - 7:40pm: Two people, including an 11-year-old, were shot at Pennsylvania Avenue and Dolphin Street. The child is in serious condition.
5/27 - 3:45am: A 28-year-old man was shot in the 2600 block of W. Lafayette Street. He's expected to survive.
5/25 - 3:52pm: Two men, ages 65 and 35, were shot in the 4100 block of Cranston Avenue. Both are listed as stable.
5/24 - 7:00pm: Zion Clayton, 25, died after being shot in the unit block of Upmanor Road.
5/24 - 12:40am: A 36-year-old man was shot on W. North Avenue. He's expected to survive.
5/22 - 11:41pm: A 26-year-old man was shot in the 1400 block of Myrtle Avenue. His injuries are considered non-life-threatening.
5/22 - 10:45pm: A 16-year-old boy was shot in the 4300 block of Seidel Avenue. His injuries are considered non-life-threatening.
5/21 - 1:08am: A 62-year-old man was shot after a group approached him and some friends while walking along the 900 block of E. Lombard Street. The victim is listed in serious condition.
5/18 - 6:30am: A 25-year-old man was shot in the 2300 block of Bryant Street. He's expected to survive.
5/18 - 12:48am: Two men, ages 21 and 19, were shot in the 600 block of Mosher Street. Both are expected to survive.
5/17 - 10:33pm: A 27-year-old man self check into an area hospital after being shot at an undisclosed location.
5/17 - 1:18am: A 36-year-old man was shot multiple times in the 2800 block of Woodbrooke Avenue. He's listed as stable.
5/15 - 5:39pm: Two teenage boys, ages 15 and 17, were shot in the 1200 block of N. Potomac Street. Both are listed as stable.
5/15 - 4:16pm: A 16-year-old boy was shot in the leg in the 4300 block of Furley Avenue. He is listed as stable.
5/13 - 9:18pm: A 21-year-old man was injured in a shooting along the 3400 block of Reisterstown Road. Police later arrested and charged 21-year-old Marvin Harrison.
5/12 - 12:49am: Michael Parker and Rayvin Simms were shot and killed in the 1800 block of W. Lexington Street.
5/10 - 11:21am: A man was found shot in the 200 block of N. Eutaw Street, near Lexington Market. The incident occurred a short distance away on Marion Street. The victim is expected to survive. Police later arrested 32-year-old Antonio Chase.
5/9 - 4:08pm: An 18-year-old woman was shot and killed in the 3100 block of Baker Street. Police say this is now being investigated as a questionable death.
5/8 - 1:56pm: A 23-year-old man was shot in the 3600 block of S. Hanover Street. His injuries are non-life-threatening.
5/7 - 3:16am: Jamal Ferguson, 37, died after being shot in the 4400 block of Fairview Avenue.
5/7 - 2:08am: A 37-year-old man was shot in the 6200 block of Eastern Avenue. Police later charged 42-year-old Ryan Sekora, of Vienna, Maryland.
5/6 - 11:25pm: Xavier George was shot to death in the 1800 block of Durham Street.
5/6 - 3:03pm: Two people, a 78-year-old woman and 22-year-old man were shot in the 800 block of Seagul Avenue. Both are expected to survive.
5/5 - 1:12pm: Musa Witherspoon, 31, died after being shot inside an apartment in the 400 block of S. Gilmore Street. Dedrick Coates, 36, has been charged with first-degree murder in connection to this incident.
5/5 - 12:28am: A 47-year-old man was shot in the 2800 block of Edmondson Avenue. He's listed in serious condition.
5/1 - 3:57pm: A 19-year-old man self-checked into the hospital after being shot in the 1600 block of N. Carey Street.
5/1 - 12:30am: A 24-year-old man was shot during an attempted robbery in the 600 block of N. Curley Street.
