BALTIMORE — Baltimore City wrapped the year 2024 with 201 homicides, down 60 from 2023.
In April 2025, Baltimore police reported five murders and 35 non-fatal shootings.
Since September 2020, WMAR-2 News has tracked daily murders and shootings each month in the city.
Here is May:
5/14 - 11:56pm: A 36-year-old man was shot in the 2300 block of Jefferson Street. He was taken to a hospital where he later died.
5/12 - 5:28pm: A 25-year-old woman and a 28-year-old woman were both shot in the 1100 block of Sargeant Street. They were both transported to area hospitals and are stable.
5/11 - 10:41am: A 23-year-old woman was shot multiple times in the 4100 block of Mount Wood Road. She was taken to a hospital where she later died.
5/10 - 9:08pm: A 29-year-old man was shot in the 4400 block of Belair Road. He is stable.
5/10 - 6:47am: A 37-year-old man was shot and killed in the 3500 block of 2nd Street.
5/6 - 12:44am: A 47-year-old man was shot in the 5500 block of Park Heights Avenue. He's expected to survive.
5/5 - 11:30pm: Troy Gaigler, 34, was stabbed to death in the 1800 block of Portal Street.
5/4 - 11:16pm: A 19-year-old man was shot in the leg in the 3700 block of Lyndale Avenue.
5/3 - 9:29pm: Rashard Smith, 21, was shot to death in the 1800 block of Lorman Street.
5/3 - 7:22pm: An altercation between multiple people outside an establishment in the 3400 block of Pulaski Highway led to a shooting, leaving 47-year-old Terrance Todd dead.
5/3 - 7:20pm: A 24-year-old man was shot in the leg during a large gathering in the 1900 block of Eagle Drive.
5/3 - 2:45pm: Micah Comegys, 6, was shot and killed in the 800 block of Vine Street.On May 9, police updated that this death is now being investigated as a questionable death, and is not currently being included in the homicide count.
