A large area of disorganized showers and thunderstorms will continue to develop over the western Caribbean Sea
over the weekend.  This system is moving northwest towards the Yucatan Peninsula of Mexico, and a low pressure
area is expected to form over the Yucatan over the weekend. This low is likely to develop into a tropical cyclone as it
moves across the Gulf of Mexico towards Florida early next week.

Regardless of development or how strong it becomes, locally heavy rains and flooding are possible over portions
of the Yucatan Peninsula, western Cuba and Florida in the coming days.

**If you're traveling in any of these areas next week, stay up to date on the latest tropical forecasts.**
