Two Maryland parades are in the running for a national honor.

For the second year in a row the Mayor's Annual Christmas Parade in Hampden and the Eastport Yacht Club Lights Parade have made the list of finalists for best holiday parades in the country. USA Today has put together a list of 20 nominees, now readers get to vote for their favorites.

Right now America's Thanksgiving Parade in Detroit is at the top of the list. The Mayor's Annual Christmas Parade is in 8th place, and the Eastport Yacht Club Lights Parade is 15th.

You can vote for your favorite parade here, voting ends at 12 p.m. on Monday, December 10. The finalists will be announced Friday, December 21.

In 2017 both Maryland parades made the top five, with the Mayor's Annual Christmas Parade being ranked the third best holiday parade in the U.S.
