BALTIMORE — Baltimore City recorded 133 homicides and 274 non-fatal shootings this year as of August 2024.

Since September 2020, WMAR-2 News has tracked daily murders and shootings each month in the city.
Here is September 2024:
9/18 - 6:49pm: A 29-year-old man was shot in the 300 block of S Mount Olive Lane. His condition is unknown.
9/18 - 2:37pm: A 31-year-old man was shot in the 500 block of North Fulton Avenue. The victim is stable.
9/17 - 10:32pm: A 25-year-old man was injured in a shooting in the 3500 block of Greenspring Avenue. An armed suspect was taken into custody.
9/17 - 10:04pm: A 43-year-old man was shot in the 1700 block of Montpelier Street. His injuries are non-life threatening.
9/17 - 9:32 p.m: A double shooting left a man dead and another injured in the 7200 block of McClean Blvd.
9/17 - 4:23pm: Michael Simms, 20, died in a shooting in the 400 block of Bloom Street.
9/17 - 10:12am: A 31-year-old man was shot in the 1600 block of W. North Avenue. His injuries are non-life-threatening.
9/16 - 7:40pm: An unidentified man died in a shooting in the 2700 block of Spelman Road.
9/15 - 5:24pm: A 20-year-old man was shot multiple times in the 1500 block of W. North Avenue. His injuries are serious.
9/15 - 10:19am: A woman was shot in the 2800 block of Edmondson Avenue. Her injuries are non-life-threatening.
9/14 – 11:53pm: Antonio Peoples, 36, died in a shooting in the 700 block of Aliceanna Street.
9/14 – 11:14pm: Reginal Bernard Harrod, 59, died in a shooting in the 1100 block of Springfield Avenue.
9/12 - 3:05am: A 42-year-old man was shot in the 600 and 700 blocks of Light Street.
9/11 - 10:28pm: Richard Evans, 41, died in a shooting in the 1300 block of N. Calhoun Street.
9/11 - 1:35am: A 54-year-old man was shot in the head during an altercation in the 2100 block of Wilkens Avenue. On September 17, detectives determined the victim's injury was not a gunshot wound. No other details were released.
9/10-12:10am: A 29-year-old man was shot in the 3600 block of St. Victor Street. He was transported and listed in stable condition.
9/9 - 2:40pm: A 20-year-old man was shot in the 700 block of North Woodington Road. He is listed as stable.
9/7-10:45pm: A 17-year-old was shot in the 1600 block of N. Bentalou Street. He was taken to an area hospital, where his condition is unknown.
9/5 - 8:02pm: A 23-year-old man was shot in the 1800 block of Greenmont Avenue. He's in stable condition.
9/4 - 9:31pm: Two men, ages 24 and 27, were shot in the 4900 block of Eastern Avenue. Both victims are stable.
9/3 - 5:12pm: A 34-year-old man was shot in the 4800 block of Palmer Street. He was taken to a local hospital to be treated for his injuries.
9/3- 1:02am: Tyreke Brown, 22, was shot and killed in the 1300 block of Russell Street.
9/1 - 6:22pm: A 34-year-old man was shot in the 500 block of Winston Avenue. He is in stable condition.
9/1 - 5:40pm: A 33-year-old man was shot in the 600 block of W. Baltimore Street. He is in stable condition.
9/1 – 12:00am: Darrell Burton, 38, was shot and killed in the 800 block of Bonaparte Avenue.
