Our first named system of the 2024 hurricane season has formed in the Gulf of Mexico.
Tropical storm Alberto is a slow mover. As of Wednesday afternoon Alberto was clocked at just 9 mph moving due west. The system is expected to bring heavy rain and strong winds to central Mexico.
While there is no impact to Maryland, this is a good reminder that things are starting to get active. We will continue to watch the tropics!
