Several severe thunderstorms rolled through the area this evening.... uprooting trees, splitting trees and opening up a deluge of rain.

Reports flew into the area just before 6pm of a tree being down on I-83 NB prior to exit 17/ Padonia Rd....with another tree on the Baltimore Beltway outer loop near M-122/Security Blvd.

We also obtained reports that indicated some minor flooding near 9700 Riverside Circle in Ellicot City-- stating that the creek was flowing over its banks and into the streets.

All of the warnings have expired this evening, but there is a flood advisory in effect for Cecil County until 10:45pm. Some of these storms have a history of producing up to two inches of rain per hour.
