We’re tracking three big weather headlines this week: a fast-moving disturbance bringing light snow Monday morning, a secondary system producing a wintry mix Monday night into Tuesday, and a major warmup later this week — we’re talking 70s warm!
Monday Snow:
Most of you won’t see snow Monday. However, a quick-moving disturbance will bring light snow showers to southern Maryland Monday morning, with only a dusting at most.
Tuesday Wintry Mix:
A front will slide through Monday night, bringing a mix of light snow, sleet, and even a few pockets of freezing rain between 12:00 AM and 8:00 AM Tuesday. After that, we’ll transition to all rain for the rest of the day. There could be a few slick spots early Tuesday — especially on bridges and overpasses — but I’m not overly concerned about widespread travel impacts.
Late-Week Warmth:
We’re tracking a significant warmup later this week as southerly flow pushes temperatures into the upper 60s to lower 70s!
