It's going to be a scorcher...

Weekend temperatures will run roughly 4-8 degrees above normal, not factoring in the heat index! Afternoon highs in the 90s, with dewpoints flirting with 70 will make it feel uncomfortable. On top of that, we have rain chances sprinkled in, with the potential for a few strong to severe thunderstorms.

Saturday, there will be enough energy ahead of a trough that will swing through...that we could see thunderstorms produce 60+ mph winds, with pockets of heavy rain likely also. Things remain calm though morning, but the atmosphere gets a little agitated as we head into the afternoon.

Sunday will be similar... but a little cooler. The potential for severe weather is a little lower....and showers and storms aren't as widespread as what we expect tomorrow.

Temperatures will remain unseasonably warm through Monday.
