Twenty years ago today, the Ravens played their first ever regular season game. There were more than 64,000 fans at Memorial Stadium, and it was the largest crowd any pro sports team in Baltimore had ever seen.
The Ravens beat the Oakland Raiders 19 to 14. Then-quarterback Vinny Testaverde scored the first touchdown.
The team went on to finish their first season 4-12. All ten of their home games were sold out.
