ANNAPOLIS, Md. — Maryland closed out 2022 by losing 200 jobs in December, according to preliminary data from the U.S. Department of Labor’s Bureau of Labor Statistics.

Despite the drop the state unemployment rate fell to 4 percent for the month, compared to 5.4 percent at the same time last year.

December's report follows a November report which saw Maryland gain 1,400 jobs.
