Police: 3 University of Maryland students shot with a BB gun

A third University of Maryland student has reported being hit by a BB pellet, campus police said. 

Around 7:20 p.m. Sunday, the student said she was walking along Paint Branch Drive near the Kim Engineering Building, when she was struck by what she believed to be a BB pellet. She wasn't injured. 

Two other University of Maryland students also reported being shot with a BB gun on campus Sunday night.

Police said around 7:30 p.m., a male student was on Paint Branch Drive between Kim Engineering and Biomolecular Science Buildings, when he was hit by what he believed to be a BB pellet.

An hour later, a second male student told police he was also hit with a BB pellet around the same time while walking on Stadium Drive between Stadium Drive Garage and Ellicott Hall.

The students also weren’t injured.
