Police in Virginia Beach still don't know why a man walked into a municipal building and killed 12 people on May 31. Now a man here in Maryland is trying to help the families of the victims.

Marc Bona, of Harford County, is selling t-shirts to benefit those families. Bona started the Honor A Hero Project, where he and his wife create shirts to raise money for the families of fallen police officers. Now they've designed a shirt for the victims in Virginia Beach. So far they have already raised more than $3,400. Once the campaign ends, all of the proceeds will be donated to the Virginia Beach Tragedy Fund, which is being run by the United Way.

You can buy one of the Virginia Beach Strong shirts here.

Marc Bona is a previous winner of WMAR-2 News' Everyday Heroes award. You can see his story here.
