A suspicious package at the Target in Abingdon was determined to be non-threatening, the Harford County Sheriff's Office said Thursday afternoon.

When the bomb squad arrived, they found Arabic writing on a luggage tag affixed to two suitcases.

Customers were evacuated from the store around 1 p.m., and road closures around the scene led to some traffic delays.

Residents were asked to avoid the area.

After several diagnostic tests performed by bomb squad technicians, the contents of the suitcases were determined to be clothing.

Roads re-opened around 3 p.m. Target opened at 4 p.m. and the investigation was continuing.
