ELKTON, Md (WMAR) — Maryland State Police have canceled the search for a 21-year-old Cecil County woman who was reported missing.
Police said Stacy Michele Rahaka Mahiga was found safe on Monday around 2 p.m. in Newark, Delaware.
Prior to being found, Mahiga hadn't been seen since around 4 p.m. on Sunday at the residence she shares with her boyfriend in the 3000 block of Stone Gate Court in Elkton.
Mahiga at the time was wearing a black Michael Kors puffy jacket and black sneakers. She is a 5 foot, 3 inch tall, 123 pound black woman.
Mahiga’s boyfriend said he saw her at the house before he left that afternoon. When he returned, Mahiga was gone, but personal items she would have normally taken with her were still at the home.
Police used a Maryland State Police helicopter and State Police K-9 units to help out with the search.
