MILFORD MILL, Md. — Police tape surrounds the Golden Dragon in Milford Mill, where an argument led to a shooting early Friday morning.

Jackie Reynolds lives in the neighborhood nearby the bar and grille and says that ever since the business went from a family friendly restaurant to a bar, there have been issues.

"After that, parking became a problem, fighting, engaging in bad activity at night became a problem, public urination became a problem," Reynolds said.

Reynolds says the neighborhood is filled with a lot of concerned elderly people who lately have been afraid to come outside in the evening - especially on Thursday and Friday nights.

Around 2 a.m. Friday morning, police say there was an argument outside the bar when an off-duty officer stepped in to help. The man, later identified as Keith M. Luckey is a Senior Airmen with the Maryland Air National Guard noticed one of the people arguing had a gun. He ordered the man to drop it and when he refused, the gunfire began.

Another shooting, another death...something that is no surprise to people in the area.

"There's so many killings going on every day, all week. It's just getting worse, it's getting bad," said Terrell Henderson.

Henderson said his friend was killed just down the road earlier this year. He says he tries to avoid the chaos.

"I don't like to go out," Henderson said. "There's too much going on so I'd rather stay out of the way. That way nothing will happen to me and I won't be in the wrong place at the wrong time."

While Henderson is avoiding the chaos, Reynolds plans to work with neighbors to stop it.

"We know people need a place to have fun, but we just want the neighborhood to be safe."

The man killed in the shooting has been identified as 36-year-old Jerome Dewitt Garrison. Another person was also shot. He was treated at the hospital and released.
