Towson University has announced the 'Amy Sorrells Caprio Scholarship Endowment' in honor of Officer Caprio's legacy as a Towson Tiger.

Caprio served four years as a Baltimore County Police Officer before her life was cut short in the line of duty in May of 2018.
The institution says that they will provide scholarships and support to admitted and current students following in her footsteps.
Caprio graduated from Towson University in 2010.
