Maryland State Police are investigating a deadly crash on I-95 after a man walked into oncoming traffic.

Police say shortly before 8 p.m. Tuesday night they found 48-year-old John Michael Rose from Park Heights dead on the highway around Kenwood Ave.

Preliminary investigations reveal Rose, for unknown reasons, walked into oncoming traffic directly into the path of an approaching truck, driven by Milton Alzarenga from New Jersey. Alzarenga was not injured in the crash.

Alzarenga stayed on the scene and has been cooperative throughout the police's investigation.

Rose was transported to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner where he will get an autopsy done.

Baltimore County EMS personnel and MDTA personnel responded and assisted with the lane closure. Due to the incident, the road closure lasted for approximately 2 hours.
