Three of the four lanes on I-95 South in Baltimore County were blocked Friday morning following a crash involving two motorcyclists.

Maryland State Police say the crash happened on 95 south before 195 (Exit 47) around 4 a.m. 70-year-old David Yurchak was driving a 2017 BMW motorcycle and was pronounced dead at the scene by medics.

The other person involved has not been identified at this time, but police say he was taken to Shock Trauma to treat his injuries.

Details about how to crash occurred are still limited at this time but troopers are conducting an investigation. Three of the four lanes of the highway needed to be closed while investigators conducted a reconstruction and cleanup of the crash.

Police urge anyone who may have witnessed the incident to contact the Maryland State Police Golden Ring Barrack at 410-780-2700.

The Maryland Department of Transportation State Highway Administration was helping with traffic detours, but the lanes reopened just before 7 a.m.
