A call for more supervision for minors at White Marsh Mall is up for a vote Monday night.

The resolution calls for the mall to increase its security force and it would make sure adults accompany kids under the age of 17 on Friday and Saturday nights after 5 p.m.

It says that the White Marsh area is a shopping destination and has contributed greatly to the economy, but it has become a meeting place for teenagers without adult supervision, which has caused problems in the past.

A huge brawl broke out near the mall in August that led to the arrests of two adults and seven juveniles. The resolution specifically cites this incident and says because of it, a call to action is necessary.

It continues to say the same rules that are being proposed were implemented at The Avenue in White Marsh in 2005 and the Towson Town Center in 2016, so adding it to the White Marsh Mall is the logical next step.

The vote is set for 6 p.m. and you can read the entire resolution below.
