At least 15 families displaced, no injuries to residents or firefighters, multiple pets die in Pikesville fire

UPDATE:

According to Baltimore County Fire Bureau Chief Frances, at least 15 families have been displaced.

Frances said even though there were partial collapses inside the building, which involved some stairways, there were no firefighters or people inside the apartment building hurt.

The Bureau Chief went on to say multiple pets died in the fire.

In addition, he said several pets died in the fire.

He said the cause of the fire is still under investigation.

There was a 3-alarm fire in an apartment building in Pikesville Thursday around 3:30pm.

It happened in the 1800 block of Rambling Ridge Lane and was initially called a 2-alarm fire.

Once on the scene, Baltimore County firefighters saw the roof of the building. A partial collapse was reported.

Baltimore County posted these pictures of the damage of social media.

No injuries have been reported at this time. Multiple pets were removed from the scene.
