If you're looking for work or to make some extra cash, Amazon might have a job for you.
Wednesday is the first of eight Amazon hiring events in our area for its new facility in Sparrows Point, but you should know before you go that it's by invitation only, no walk-ins will be accepted.
It was just last month that we got a sneak peek inside Amazon's new robotic warehouse in Baltimore County. Amazon has 1,500 full-time positions that it needs to fill at its fulfillment center, and new employees will work alongside amazon robotics to pick, pack, and ship items for customers.

If you're interested, you have to be at least 18-years-old and have a high school diploma or GED. They're also asking job seekers to fill out an application online first before coming down to one of the hiring events.
Baltimore County's job connector service is working with Amazon to host the eight hiring events.
