BALTIMORE — Baltimore City wrapped the year 2024 with 201 homicides, down 60 from 2023.
In August 2025, there were seven homicides and 22 non-fatal shootings.
Since September 2020, WMAR-2 News has tracked daily murders and shootings in the city each month.
Here is September 2025:
9/30 - 3:27pm: Marlon Pugh, 35, died after being shot in the 3700 block of 5th Street. Police charged 45-year-old Devin Ash.
9/30 - 3:16pm: A 16-year-old girl was shot in the 3700 block of Harlem Avenue. She is listed in critical condition.
9/29 - 6:39pm: A 23-year-old man was shot in the leg in the 500 block of East 34th Street.
9/28 - 7:47pm: A 49-year-old man was shot in the leg in the 1800 block of N. Chapel Street by an unknown suspect.
9/28 - 1:32am: A 44-year-old man was shot in the 3000 Swan Drive. He's listed as stable.
9/27 - 5:33am: A 20-year-old man was shot in the 3300 block of Waterview Avenue. He is expected to survive. Police charged 19-year-old Howard Gale.
9/26 - 4:16pm: Virgil Holland Jr., 31, was shot in the head in the 1200 block of W. North Avenue. He later died.
9/25 - 4:38pm: Michael Schuler, 34, was stabbed to death in the 2200 block of Sidney Avenue. Police have since arrested 54-year-old Donald Graham in connection to this case.
9/25 - 4:20pm: A 26-year-old man was shot in the 4900 block of Frankford Avenue.
9/25 - 9:42am: Mekonen Habteselassie, 71, was found murdered inside a home in the 1200 block of N. Patterson Park Avenue. Police later arrested 32-year-old Ephrem Melekte and 67-year-old Fasika Tsadik in New York.
9/24 - 4:39pm: A 39-year-old man was shot in the face in the 4000 block of Park Heights Avenue. He was taken to an area hospital, where he is stable. Police charged 47-year-old Kevin Glenn Jr.
9/22 - 10:26pm: A 26-year-old man was shot in the 3300 block of Hayward Avenue. He is listed as stable.
9/20 - 7:30pm: A 22-year-old man was shot in the 3300 block of Saint Benedict Street. His injuries are life threatening.
9/20 - 2:19am: Quant'ae Brown, 25, was shot and killed in the 300 block of Presstman Street.
9/19 - 8:40pm: Taiquan Moss, 29, was shot and killed in the 1100 block of E. 20th Street. Police have since arrested and charged 27-year-old Kashif Forman.
9/18 - 12:32am: A 32-year-old man was shot in the 2200 block of W. North Avenue. His condition is unknown at this time.
9/17 - 5:43pm: A 25-year-old man was shot in the 800 block of Glade Court. He is receiving treatment.
9/14 - 2:35am: A 47-year-old man was shot in the 2800 block of Garrison Boulevard. Police say the victim got into an argument with someone he was speaking with inside his vehicle. The victim is listed as stable.
9/14 - 12:49am: An 18-year-old was shot during an argument with another individual downtown, near E. Pratt and Light Streets. He's listed as stable.
9/13 - 8:26am: A man was shot and killed in the 3300 block of Spaulding Avenue.
9/12 - 8:40pm: A 25-year-old man was found shot in the 300 block of Saint Paul Street. The victim couldn't tell police where the incident occurred. He's listed as stable.
9/10 - 8:46pm: Zayone Burman, 24, died after being shot in the 1100 block of Ashburton Street.
9/10 - 3:09pm: A 49-year-old man was shot in the 500 block of Islamic Way. He's currently in critical condition. Shuaib Franklin, 25, has been arrested and charged with attempted first degree murder.
9/10 - 11:30am: Charlton Morris, 31, was died of gunshot wounds in the 2300 block of Ashland Avenue. Police have since arrested and charged 22-year-old Jabril Turner.
9/9 - 3:05pm: Deonaye Johnson, 26, was shot to death in the 1000 block of N. Arlington Avenue. Timothy Shearn, 26, has been arrested and charged with first-degree murder.
9/9 - 1:05am: An unresponsive 15-year-old was brought to a South Baltimore hospital after being shot at an undisclosed location. His injuries are considered life-threatening.
9/8 - 5:06pm: A 22-year-old man was shot in the thigh in the 1300 block of N. Stockton Street. Police determined the shooting was justified.
9/8 - 12:46am: A 37-year-old man was shot in the 2200 block of Ruskin Avenue. There is no word on his condition.
9/6 - 7pm: A 39-year-old man was shot in the 100 block of S. Dean Street. He's expected to survive. Police charged 39-year-old George Buettner.
9/6 - 5pm: A 55-year-old man was shot in the 3600 block of 9th Street. He was taken to the hospital where his condition is unknown.
9/5 - 9:27pm: A 15-year-old girl and 17-year-old boy were shot in the 2700 block of Edmondson Avenue. Both are expected to survive.
9/5 - 1:30pm: A 45-year-old man was shot in the 2300 block of E. Preston Street. He drove himself to the hospital where he's listed as stable.
9/4 - 9:03pm: A 20-year-old man walked into a hospital with a non-fatal gunshot wound. It wasn't immediately known where he'd been shot.
9/3 - 10:13pm: Davion Hodges, 25, was shot and killed in the 900 block of Edmondson Avenue. Police have since arrested and charged 26-year-old Tyjai Archer.
9/1 - 11:33pm: A 24-year-old man was shot in the unit block of N. Howard Street. He's expected to survive. Police charged 35-year-old Guy Thomas and 24-year-old Robert Perkins.
9/1 - 11:25am: A 43-year-old man was found shot inside a home in the 3300 block of Clarks Lane. There is no word on his condition.
Editor's Note: Police have reclassified a September 19 shooting in the 3700 block of Eldorado Avenue to an Aggravated Assault.
