The Ravens will begin their home opener this Sunday at M&T Bank Stadium.  Friday, Ravens fans braved the rain to get their gear and their game faces on.

"It's all about winning!"

Jeffrey Katzen owns  Baltimore Sports and Novelty in Owings Mills.  Every season, it draws fans of all ages excited to rock the purple for the big season home opener!

Although people are shopping for Ravens gear, the potential wet weather is putting a damper on things.

"People are excited, we've had some action I think the weather forecast is holding people back a little. were selling a lot of ponchos and things like that for the weather," said Katzen

Still, people are ready to show their team pride.

"My family and my husband especially is a huge Ravens," Angelica Daniel told WMAR 2 News.

But you don't have to force Ravens fans to don the purple.

"I'm hoping we can bring home the Lombardi but of course we have to set our goals reasonably, try to make the playoffs," said Bradley Geyer.

At The Maryland Fairgrounds,  fans waited out the rain at what was supposed to be a huge season kick-off party; die-hard fans made the most of the night.

"It's just the hype of football.  Football season is in the air, summer's over, new season; we're ready for the Ravens to win some games! said Chris Seeman.

And as far as a threat of rain for the home opener?

"Rain won't stop me, you come equipped with rain gear you can't let the rain dampen your purple pride," Geyer said.

The Ravens take on the Buffalo Bills Sunday at 1 p.m.
