October 2025 Tracker: Baltimore murders and shootings

BALTIMORE — Baltimore City wrapped the year 2024 with 201 homicides, down 60 from 2023.

In September 2025, 11 homicides and 26 non-fatal shootings were recorded.

Since September 2020, WMAR-2 News has tracked daily murders and shootings in the city each month.

Here is October 2025:

10/31 - 5:34pm: A 24-year-old man was shot in the arm in the 4500 block of Penhurst Avenue. Police say he is stable.

10/29 - 10:01pm: A 42-year-old man self-checked into the hospital after being shot at an undisclosed location.

10/28 - 10:22pm: Gerald Murrill, 37, was shot to death in the 300 block of N. Conkling Street.

10/28 - 10:07pm: A 15-year-old boy checked into a local hospital after being shot at an undisclosed location.

10/28 - 3:25am: A 42-year-old man was shot in the 5800 block of Reisterstown Road. He's expected to survive.

10/27 -2:30pm: A 26-year-old man was shot in the 1500 block of Ramsey St. He is expected to survive.

10/27 -2:05am: A 31-year-old man self-checked into a hospital after being shot in the 200 block of E. North Avenue.

10/25 - 5:24pm: A man and 7-year-old boy were each shot in the 3200 block of Reisterstown Road. The man, identified as Tyree Brooks, died from his injuries and the child is expected to survive.

10/23 - 11:50pm: A 38-year-old man appears to have been shot during a carjacking while in the 100 block of S August Ave.

10/23 - 10:26am: Eugene Henry, 42, was shot and killed in the 4100 block of Hyden Court. Police arrested and charged 48-year-old Gerard Morris.

10/21 - 8:06pm: A 61-year-old person was wounded in a shooting in the 300 block of Lexington Street. Police say they were taken to an area hospital and are currently stable.

10/20 - 11:38pm: A 28-year-old man self-checked into a hospital after being shot at an undisclosed location. He's expected to survive.

10/20 - 10:27pm: Stephen Phillips, 35, and a 31-year-old woman were shot in the 1000 block of Cameron Road. Phillips later died, while the woman is expected to survive.

10/20 - 3:35am: A 40-year-old man was shot in the 1800 block of Ensor Street. He's listed as stable.

10/19 - 9:48pm: A 34-year-old man was shot at an undisclosed location and later checked into University of Maryland hospital. He's listed as stable.

10/18 - 6:54pm: An unidentified man was shot in the 2300 block of Mosher Street. He's expected to survive.

10/15 - 6:18pm: A 29-year-old man was shot in the leg in the 3400 block of Belair Road. He was taken to an area hospital.

10/15 - 4:15pm: Darrius Hines, 29, was shot and killed in the 500 block of Callender Street.

10/14 - 12:34am: A 19-year-old was shot in the area of S. Eutaw and W. Saratoga Streets. He's expected to survive.

10/13 - 8:58pm: A 34-year-old man was shot in the leg in the 1800 block of Greenmount Avenue.

10/10 - 3:28pm: Ahing Castro, 44, was found dead in the 6100 block of Fortview Way. His cause of death was ruled homicide.

10/7 - 3:47pm: Terry Copes, 63, died after being shot in the 100 block of W. Garrett Street.

10/5 - 10:49pm: A 24-year-old man was shot in the 400 block of N. Ellwood Ave. He is expected to survive.

10/5 - 5:46pm: A 17-year-old male was shot in the leg in the 1000 block of N. Luzurne Avenue. He was treated at a local hospital.

10/5 - 3:45am: A 25-year-old man was shot in the 100 block of E. North Avenue. He's listed as stable.

10/5 - 12:51am: A 37-year-old man was shot in the groin in the 800 block of Exeter Hall. He's listed as stable. Lawrence Wheeler, 44, has been arrested and charged with attempted murder.

10/4 - 9:29pm: A 23-year-old man was shot in the 1700 block of E. Pratt Street. He's listed as stable.

10/4 - 9pm: A 16-year-old boy was shot in the 4400 block of Frederick Avenue. He's listed as stable.

10/3 - 3:10am: A 36-year-old man was shot in the 1500 block of Homestead Street. He's expected to survive.

10/2 - 9:15pm: Walter Alston, 47, was stabbed to death during an altercation with another 52-year-old man in the 800 block of N. Bond Street.

10/1 - 1:11pm: Oshay Smith, 31, died after being shot in the 2500 block of Maisel Court. Police charged 20-year-old Nasaiah Bryan, who turned himself in.
