Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake will honor seven paralympic athletes at a pep rally in Baltimore Thursday.
The Baltimore-based athletes will compete for Team U.S.A. in Rio this September.
The Paralympic Games open September 7 at the venues currently being used for the Summer Olympic Games.
Rawlings-Blake invited children and families from the Casey Cares Foundation to be special guests at the pep rally and send off at City Hall.
The ceremony is scheduled to start at 12:30 p.m.
