Looking to adopt a furry friend?
Saturday is the day to do it.
Hundreds of animal shelters from coast to coast are waiving or offering deep discounts on adoption fees on Saturday to encourage people to come out, adopt a pet and clear out the shelter.
Clear The Shelters is a campaign started in 2015. More than 73,000 animals have found homes through the yearly event.
Several local animal shelters are taking part:
- BARCS in Baltimore City
- Maryland SPCA in Baltimore City
- Baltimore Humane Society in Reisterstown
- Baltimore County Animal Services
- Anne Arundel County Animal Control
- Humane Society of Harford County
- Animal Welfare Society of Howard County
- Cecil County Animal Services
