BALTIMORE, Md. — A Baltimore City firefighter was taken to the hospital Monday after battling a house fire in Waverly.
The fire department updated WMAR-2 News around 7:30 p.m. that the firefighter had been released from the hospital.
Firefighters were called to the 3700 block of Ellerslie Avenue just after 2 in the afternoon.
When firefighters arrived, they found heavy black smoke coming out of the back of the home and found a blaze inside the house.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
