LINTHICUM, Md. — The Federal Aviation Administration issued a ground stop due to thunderstorms in the Maryland area.
The ground stop was in effect until 6:00 p.m. at BWI, Washington Dulles International and Ronald Reagan Washington National (DCA).
As of 5:43 p.m., officials say there is a departure delay of 15 minutes and increasing due to the weather at BWI.
A ground delay was also issued with an average delay of 23 minutes at DCA.
