Annapolis Mayor Mike Pantelides is looking for solutions to mitigate flood waters that are costing taxpayers millions of dollars.

Pantelides said he's investigating two approaches. The long term approach would mean getting $1 million from governor Larry Hogan. The short term solution involves putting up dams to stop flooding.

Two companies gave a demonstration of their flood control devices Wednesday.

Mayor Pantelides hopes to have some sort of new flood control management system within the year.
