MINNEAPOLIS, Mn. — Earlier today, President Trump tweeted calling the performance from the Minneapolis mayor Jacob Frey "a total lack of leadership."

The President also called protesters "thugs" and said the military could get involved with putting down those riots saying, "when the looting starts, the shooting starts."

Twitter flagged this tweet saying it violates their rules of glorifying violence. You can still see the tweet after clicking through a warning.

Mayor Frey said of the tweets, "Weakness is pointing the finger at someone else during a time of crisis. Donald Trump knows nothing about the strength of Minneapolis. We are strong as hell. Is this a difficult time period? yes.. and you better be damn sure we’re going to get through this."
