On Thursday, investigators charged 28-year-old Daniel Hildebrand with multiple offensives after a fight with his own father turned deadly last month.

On October 26 the Cecil County Sheriff’s Office was called to a home on Irishtown Road in reference to a domestic disturbance. Once on scene deputies determined Daniel Hildebrand and his father, Raymond Hildebrand were involved in a fight at the home where they both stayed at. During the fight, Daniel reportedly punched Raymond in the face causing him to fall and hit his head on the concrete floor. Deputies say while Raymond was still on the ground, Daniel continued to hit him in the face several more times.

The 65-year-old was taken to the University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center where he later died two weeks later on Wednesday.

Daniel has been charged with second-degree murder, first-degree assault, manslaughter, involuntary manslaughter, and reckless endangerment. He is being held without bond at the Cecil County Detention Center.
