2 Killed in Baltimore overnight, including an apartment security guard

Baltimore police are investigating two shootings that claimed the lives of two people, including an apartment security guard Friday evening.  

The first homicide happened in central Baltimore around 11 p.m.  

According to police, an officer was flagged down by a security guard who informed the officer that a guard had been shot.  

Officers then responded to the 1500 block of Eutaw Place where they discovered the 29-year-old man unresponsive.  

Medics responded to the scene and pronounced the man dead.  

Detectives are unclear on the circumstances leading up to the shooting death of the security guard.  

The security guard worked for the apartment complex.   

The victim was found on the ground level outside of the complex.  

Detectives canvassed the area for clues early Saturday morning.  

The second homicide occurred in the North Baltimore just minutes after 11 p.m.  

Police were called to the 2500 block of Greenmount Avenue for a reported car accident with injury.  

On scene, officers were able to determine that a male suffering from a gunshot wound collided with another vehicle. 

According to police, the victim was driving when he was shot by an unidentified suspect.  

The man was transported to an area hospital where he later died. 

The driver of the other vehicle was also transported. No word on their condition.
