GLEN BURNIE, Md. — The North Arundel Aquatic Center in Glen Burnie is closing for 14 days after a customer tested positive for COVID-19.

Though staff have been wearing masks, social distancing, washing hands, and disinfecting the facility, officials say the risk of potential exposure is too high.

The Anne Arundel County Health Department recommends anyone who used the pool between July 7 and 14 to quarantine for 14 days, and get tested 3-5 days after last using the pool.

Anyone already experiencing symptoms should call the Department of Health at 410-222-7256 to get tested immediately and isolate while waiting for results.

During the 14 day closure, the aquatic center will be thoroughly sanitized.
