BALTIMORE — Baltimore City recorded 23 homicides and 63 non-fatal shootings in April 2023.

Since September 2020 WMAR-2 News has tracked daily murders and shootings each month in the city.
Here is May 2023:
5/31/23 - 4:13pm: A 31-year-old man was shot in the 4200 block of Parkmont Avenue. He is expected to survive.
5/31/23 - 1:13am: A woman self checked into a hospital after being wounded in a reported crossfire situation. She refused to provide police with a location.
5/30/23 - 11:28pm: A 36-year-old man was shot in the leg in the 2600 block of Baker Street. Police say they recovered a weapon and took a person of interest into custody.
5/30/23 - 9:38pm: Maurice Smith, 36, was shot and killed in the 1900 block of Grinnalds Avenue.
5/30/23 - 5:39pm: A man was shot numerous times in the 3500 block Shannon Drive. His condition is unknown.
5/30/23 - 5:23pm: A 20-year-old man was shot in the upper body in the 1500 block of West North Avenue. His condition is unknown.
5/30/23 - Andre Jackson's February 25 death on McClean Blvd. was ruled homicide by intoxication.
5/29/23 - 2:32am: A man crashed his vehicle after being shot in the 400 block of East Lorraine Avenue. There's no word on his condition at this time.
5/29/23 - 2:24am: A 28-year-old man was shot in the 2200 block of Annapolis Road. His condition is unknown.
5/28/23 - 9:50pm: A 29-year-old man was shot in the 5600 block of Woodmont Avenue. His condition is unknown.
5/28/23 - 6:35pm: A 33-year-old man was found shot in the 1100 block of Dover Street. Police believe he was shot in the 200 block of South Monroe Street. He is in critical condition. Deon Hudson, 28, has been arrested and charged with attempted first-degree murder and various handgun violations.
5/27/23 - 7:31pm: Otis Toney, 38, was shot and killed in the 2800 block of Harford Road.
5/26/23 - 7:13pm: A 27-year-old woman was grazed in the head in the 3400 block of Old Frederick Road. She is expected to survive. Police have arrested and charged 19-year-old Cameron Cunningham.
5/26/23 - 3:30pm: Five men were shot in the 200 block of North Eutaw Street.Their ages are as follows: 55, 58, 41, 63 and 38-years-old. All of the victim's injuries are believed to be non-life-threatening.
5/25/23 - 5:15am: A 24-year-old man self checked into the hospital after being shot in the 3100 block of Oakley Avenue.
5/25/23 - 11:59pm: A 42-year-old man self checked into a hospital after being shot at an undisclosed location. He's expected to survive.
5/25/23 - 10:55pm: A quadruple shooting left two men and two women, each in their twenties, injured in the 3300 block of Ramona Avenue.
5/25/23 - 1:29am: Two victims self checked into local hospitals after being shot in the unit block of Holliday Street. Both are expected to survive.
5/24/23 - 10:20pm: A 22-year-old man was shot in the 2000 block of Belair Road. His condition is unknown.
5/24/23 - 9:13pm: Tyon Purvey, 27, was shot multiple times and killed in the 400 block of North Paca Street.
5/24/23 - 6:31pm: A 17-year-old boy was shot in the left hand in the 3600 block of Elmora Avenue. He is expected to survive.
5/24/23 - 5:40pm: Shawnika Deniton, 32, was found dead inside a home in the 5000 block of Belair Road. Police are investigating her death as a homicide.
5/23/23 - 12:25pm: A 47-year-old man was shot in the 700 block of Baker Street. His condition is unknown.
5/23/23 - Demarris Johnson, 30, died February 8 from injuries sustained in an April 2007 shooting on Fait Avenue. The Medical Examiner’s office has now ruled his death a homicide. Three suspects were arrested in connection with the original shooting.
5/22/23 - 11:42pm: Eric Jennings, 52, was shot to death in the 2300 block of W. Franklin Street.
5/22/23 - 6:45pm: A 38-year-old man checked into the hospital after being shot in leg at Greenmount Avenue and Preston Street.
5/22/23 - 10:35am: Naa’tricia Imeen Green, 28, was found dead with obvious signs of trauma to the body in the 4400 block Park Heights Avenue.
5/22/23 - 2:34am: A 33-year-old man was injured in a shooting in the 3000 block of Harlem Avenue.
5/21/23 - 2:19pm: Sean Neal Malik Brown, 21,was found dead with signs of trauma in the 2700 block of N. Longwood Street.
5/21/23 - 1:45am: A 15-year-old boy was shot in the 1100 block of Ponca Street. He is expected to survive.
5/20/23 - 12:20am: Kenneth Lyde, 32, was shot and killed in the 700 block of Pennsylvania Avenue.
5/19/23 – 9:38pm: A 33-year-old man was shot in the right buttock and left calf in the 2800 block of Boarman Avenue. He is expected to survive.
5/19/23 – 8:41pm:Dabrae Edwards, 19, and another unidentified 19-year-old were shot in the 200 block of East Street.Edwards died a day later. Police have since charged a 17-year-old in connection with this incident.
5/17/23 - 10:55pm: Two men, ages 18 and 21, self checked into a hospital after being shot in the 4600 block of Pall Mall Road. Both are expected to survive.
5/16/23 - 2:04pm: A 26-year-old man walked into a hospital with a gunshot wound to his left leg. He is expected to survive.
5/16/23 - 1:44am: A 40-year-old man was injured in a shooting in the 1200 block of N. August Avenue.
5/15/23 - 8:38pm: A 26-year-old man was shot in the arm in the 400 block of N. Rose Street. His injuries are non-life-threatening.
5/15/23 - 7:36pm: Delvonta Grimes, 34, was shot and killed in the 2400 block of Washington Boulevard.
5/15/23 - 12:48am: An altercation led to a double stabbing which left 29-year-old Devoon Johnson dead, and a 28-year-old woman injured in the 1600 block of Ruxton Avenue. No suspects have been identified.
5/14/23 - 9:22pm: Jamal Martin, 18, was killed in a shootout with Montrez Cherry-Braxton, 21, in the 600 block of Bartlett Avenue. Cherry-Braxton, 21, has since been charged with murder.
5/14/23 - 9:13pm: A 16-year-old boy was shot in the 400 block of Watty Court. His injuries are non-life-threatening.
5/14/23 - 7:32pm: A 27-year-old man was shot multiple times in the 2400 block of Brentwood Avenue. He is in serious condition.
5/14/23 - 12:29pm: A 14-year-old girl was injured in a shooting inside a home on the 1900 block of McCulloh Street. A person of interest, also a juvenile, was taken into custody.
5/14/23 - 4:06am: A man was located with multiple life-threatening gunshot wounds in the 3800 block of Brooklyn Avenue. His condition is unknown.
5/14/23 - 2:42am: Teon Wright, 32, was shot and killed in the 2400 block of Washington Boulevard.
5/13/23 - 9:52pm: Da’wan Amin James, 21, died after being shot in the 4800 block of The Alameda.
5/13/23 - 2:41am: A 39-year-old male was shot in the 1600 block of Vincent Court. He is expected to survive.
5/11/23 - 9:47am: A 24-year-old man was shot in the 3100 block of Elmora Avenue. He was taken to the hospital where he is stable.
5/10/23 - 8:35pm: Darren Lamar Shipley, 29, died after being shot in the 4500 block of Wakefield Road. Kedric Green, 27, has been arrested for this incident.
5/10/23 - 4:49pm: A man was shot in both of his legs in the 500 block of Presstman Street. He is expected to survive.
5/10/23 - 4:17pm: Two people were shot in the 5400 block of Moores Run Drive. Clifton Leroy Phair, 59, died while a 40-year-old man survived.
5/10/23 - 2:47am: A 15-year-old girl checked into a hospital after being shot in the 2300 block of Winchester Street.
5/9/23 - 10:18pm: A 33-year-old man checked into the hospital after being shot in the 500 block of Cambria Street.
5/9/23 - 8:40pm: A 26-year-old man checked into a hospital after being shot in the leg. Police are still trying to locate a crime scene.
5/9/23: The Medical Examiner ruled Daniel Schaefer's November 2022 death was from injuries suffered in a December 2012 robbery and shooting on Moravia Park Drive. Laquan Ferome, now 33, was charged in the case.
5/9/23: Troy Shaw, 45, died from injuries suffered during a June 2005 shooting on Bethune Road.
5/8/23 - 5:49pm: A 31-year man was shot in the 5100 block of Gwynn Oak Avenue. He is in critical condition. Police have since arrested Lance Jamal Hickman, 29, in connection with this incident. He's been charged with attempted first-degree murder.
5/6/23 - 11:05pm: A 15-year-old boy was shot in the shoulder in the 1600 block of Argonne Drive. His condition is unknown.
5/6/23- 2:45pm: A 41-year-old man was injured in a shooting in the 4600 block of Falls Road.
5/6/23- 1:20pm: Dimante Fox, 29, was shot and killed in the 5700 block of Perring Parkway.
5/6/23- 9:52am: Nathaniel Mack, 40, was shot and killed in the 2100 block of Hollins Street. Police have arrested and charged 39-year-old Steven Gibson.
5/6/23- 5:05 am: A 33-year old man self checked into the hospital after being shot in the 100 block of Washburn Avenue.
5/5/23 - 5:35pm: Isaiah Benjamin Jr., 30, was shot and killed in the 6800 block of Elsrode Avenue.
5/5/23 - 2:55am: A 33-year-old man was injured in a shooting in the 400 block of W. Saratoga Street.
5/4/23 - 6:00pm: A man and woman were shot in the 600 block of W. Lafayette Avenue. The man, identified as 52-year-old Douglas Bates, died May 6.
5/4/23 - 4:30pm: A 15-year-old was shot in the 600 block of Mt. Holly Street. He is expected to survive.
5/3/23 - 9:55pm: A 22-year-old man checked into a hospital after being shot in the 100 block of W. 25th Street. His condition is unknown.
5/2/23 - 11:26pm: A 55-year-old food delivery driver was shot during an armed robbery in the 3500 block of Cottage Avenue. He's expected to survive.
5/2/23 - 12:35pm: A man was shot in the leg in the 1800 block of N. Washington Boulevard. He is expected to survive. Isiah Peay, 18, has been arrested and charged for this incident.
5/2/23 - 3:50am: A 33-year-old man was injured in a shooting in the 5500 block of Force Road.
5/2/23 - 12:51am: A 23-year-old man checked into a hospital after being shot in the 4900 block of Reisterstown Road. He's expected to survive.
5/1/23 - 6:54am: The body of Krista McGuire was discovered behind the 1000 block of Bonaparte Avenue. Her death was ruled a homicide on May 16.
