Anne Arundel County police officer beats COVID-19, returns to work

ANNE ARUNDEL COUNTY, Md. — An Anne Arundel County police officer beat COVID-19 and is now back at work.

Lt. Steve Thomas recently recovered from COVID-19 after spending a week in the hospital and the ICU.

In a video the Anne Arundel County Police Department posted on their Facebook page, Lt. Thomas talks about the physical and mental challenges he overcame and the importance of having support from your family, friends, and loved ones emotionally as well as physically with this disease.

Lt. Thomas believes the emotional support he received from the hospital staff and his friends was instrumental in his recovery.

Anne Arundel Police says Lt. Thomas is now back at work.
