The winter weather alerts have been reduced in parts of Maryland as sleet and ice cut into snow amounts Tuesday morning.
A winter storm warning is still in effect in Cecil, Carroll and Frederick Counties, as well as some parts of Baltimore and Harford Counties.

Baltimore City, Howard and Anne Arundel Counties, and also southern Baltimore and Harford Counties are under a winter weather advisory until 2 p.m. Tuesday.

A Winter Storm Warning brings a high chance of heavy snow, sleet or ice that could significantly impact the area.
Winter Weather Advisories mean periods of light snow that could cause slick conditions on the road. Drivers should use caution.
