Severe storms for Cyber Monday

Main concern is wind and an isolated tornado

It is a good thing Cyber Monday has many of us inside doing our shopping, because the roads will be a mess Monday. Rain begins around 2AM and gets heavier through the morning as a warm front moves in. Temperatures go 15 degrees above average to the mid 60s, but it is hard to be outside to enjoy it when the rain is pouring down and the wind is howling.

The breeziest part of the day is in the early morning and the rest of the afternoon we will see gusts near 30 mph.

By 10AM, the rain lightens up a bit south of Baltimore where Cecil county will see the strongest showers.

When the warm front clears the area around 11AM, get ready for round 2. A cold front will slide through the area in the early afternoon bringing the threat of severe storms. It won't be a line of storms, but pop up cells that may form a tornado or bring gusty winds near 58 mph. The storm prediction center has given us a risk of 1 out of 5 for severe weather.

Rainfall totals will be near 1.5". When the rain comes to an end, get ready for the cold air. Tuesday, temperatures slide 20 degrees into the 40s!
