Our 13Th storm of the season is expected to pack a punch in the Caribbean as soon as this weekend.
Tropical Storm Melissa is expected to develop into a hurricane this weekend and continue to strengthen into the workweek. Strong winds and heavy rain are tied to the system headed towards Jamaica and the Dominican Republic.
We will continue to watch as this system develops over the next several days. We are not expecting any impacts to the United States or here at home.
