Obviously, Baltimore has had it's fair share of rain for the month of August and many locations across the state of Maryland have dealt with flash flooding and areal flooding concerns. The bulk of today looks to stay dry until tonight-- that's when rain chances increase and we are looking at numerous showers lingering overnight into the first half of Sunday. Basically, rainfall has been the BIG story for the entire month... BUT what about the temperature trend?

The average high temperature for the month of August is 86°. So far this month, 12 out of the 14 days have recorded high temperatures above 86° at BWI. Temperatures have not dropped below 80° since June 17th, where the high temperature was 74°. We have a shot of breaking that trend as the 70s could make a comeback Sunday afternoon, thanks to widespread rain, extra cloud cover, and breezy winds veering out of the northeast.
