BALTIMORE — This week WMAR-2 News is honoring William Asmussen of Edgewood.
He spent 23 years in the United States Army, a span that included World War II, and the Korean and Vietnam Wars.
Asmussen retired with the rank of Sergeant Major.
He met his late wife, Rosine, while stationed in Germany.
They were married for 63 years and had 6 children together.
At 94-years-old Mr. Asmussen still fits in his uniform.
