Happy New Year!

Our sincerest apologies that we've been MIA for a bit. That was in part because when WMAR redesigned the website (doesn't it look amazing?), our poor little blog got lost in the shuffle. Thankfully our News Director saved it and now we're back!

And guess what else is back? Restaurant Week!

Or more like Restaurant WeekS.

Baltimore, Howard and Harford counties start their Restaurant Weeks this month, as does Baltimore City. Participating restaurants offer prix fixe menus for lunch and/or dinner. It's a good way to try a place you've been meaning to visit in your neighborhood or county.

Baltimore County Restaurant Week - January 18 to February 2 (more than 50 participating restaurants)
Baltimore City Restaurant Week - January 11-20 (more than 50 participating restaurants)
Harford County Restaurant Week - January 18-27 (30 participating restaurants)
Howard County Restaurant Week - January 21 to February 4 (more than 25 participating restaurants)

Also!

There are a couple of ways you can help the Maryland Food Bank stock its shelves this month.

Medieval Times is collecting non-perishable food items for the food bank for their Fill the Pantry campaign. You can save up to $24 per person by donating two items. Click here for details. The deal is for Friday shows through February 1.

And the Enoch Pratt Library is now in the middle of their Food for Friends campaign. From now until January 31, if you donate one can of food, you'll receive $1 off your library fines. You can donate up to 50 cans/non-perishable items to knock down your library fines.
