An 8-year-old Carroll County boy is asking for your help, as he bikes for a cause.
Brody Reppe is a third-grader at Friendship Valley Elementary School.
He just learned how to ride a bike in March, during the beginning stages of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Since then Brody and his dad have spent a lot of time together, riding more than 500 miles.
Their favorite place to go is the C&O Canal Towpath.
Some of the riding paths are surfaced while others aren't.
Brody wants to fix that, especially during these times, when funding for area parks is low and public turnout is high.
So in order to help, he's preparing for a 50 mile bike ride along the C&O Canal on September 6.
But before then, Brody says he needs sponsors.

Brody says all proceeds will be donated to the non-profit C&O Trust.
