The Towson Tigers improved to 3-2 in the CAA, and 12-6 overall with a narrow win over Delaware.
Thanks to a 13-3 run late in the second half, the Tigers defeated the Blue Hens 79-77 at the Bob Carpenter Center.
Forwards John Davis and Arnaud William Adala Moto led the team in total points, each with 22. Davis scored 15 of his 22 points in the first 20 minutes of the game.
Towson hit just as many free throws as it did field goals in Thursday's contest. Most of the damage, though, occurred behind the arc. Five Tigers hit two threes - Davis, Adala Moto, guard Mike Morsell, and freshman Jordan McNeil.
Adala Moto finished with 22 points and 15 rebounds. It was the first 15-rebound game by a Tiger since Davis did it last season against Goucher.
The Blue Hens fall to 0-5 in the CAA and 5-11 overall.
The Tigers continue CAA play, hosting Drexel Saturday afternoon for Military Appreciation Day at SECU Arena. Tipoff is set for 4 p.m.
