BALTIMORE (WMAR) — When you're a Ravens fan, you don't need to wait until Sunday to start getting excited.

We have “Purple Friday”. That's where when the Ravens play on Sunday you put on your favorite purple outfit and represent on Friday! After a game like the first one, it's easy to get excited.

M & T Bank sponsored a little Ravens rally downtown with cheerleaders, our mascot and a lot of purple.

Along with fans, one of our favorites, Matt Stover came by. He can attest to getting caught up in all this Ravens mania.

"It does matter. I've been in stadiums against other teams and they don't show. I was blessed for my entire career with the Browns and now Baltimore that we had fans their for every game and it does bring energy to the players, especially when we come out of that tunnel" said Stover.

It was an exciting time for purple Friday but, what a lot of fans are thinking about is an exciting and successful purple Sunday.
