Marriotts Ridge, Atholton hockey among MSHL quarterfinal winners

The road to a high school hockey state championship continued on Tuesday night in Laurel.

Marriotts Ridge and Atholton were among the teams that won Maryland Student Hockey League quarterfinal playoff games.

The Mustangs stayed undefeated on the season as they edged Glenelg 2-1.

Atholton got by Broadneck 3-1.

Dulaney fell to top-seeded Winston Churchill in a 10-0 route.

The last quarterfinal of the night saw Walt Whitman top South River 6-1.

The MSHL semifinals are on Thursday night and will see Marriotts Ridge play Walt Whitman, while Atholton matches up with Winston Churchill. Those games will be played at The Gardens Ice House in Laurel.

The MSHL championship game will be played Monday night, also at The Gardens Ice House.
