Goucher College unveiled a new Gopher logo and announced a new partnership with Under Armour Wednesday.
"We are excited to be able to build our relationship with Under Armour," said Goucher's Director of Athletics Geoffrey Miller. "With Goucher being recognized as one of the top ten innovative schools in the country, it makes sense for us to partner with a very innovative, progressive, and international company."
Goucher will have a three-year partnership with Baltimore-based Under Armour. The contract will not only help the D3 program rebrand athletics uniforms, but also give Goucher athletes the ability to use the Under Armour gym and other facilities.
"Goucher is at the cutting edge of liberal arts education, and now we're partnering with one of the great athletic innovators of our time," says President José Bowen. "We believe that our new brand is something that our students and our alumnae/i, will embrace and celebrate. It's an exciting time to be at Goucher College."
The new Gopher logo is the first updated logo in 20 years. The new logo will be used on the school's site, social media and facilities. Additionally, new apparel and merchandise will be available for purchase on campus.
