Flacco, Ravens ready for home opener

The Ravens are heading home. Back to their fans.  They can’t wait.

“I’m looking forward to it a lot. I’m sure they are too the way we started the season off,” said Ravens linebacker C.J. Mosley.

The way they started off was a 20-0 win in Cincinnati. Almost everything went to plan in Bengals, including Joe Flacco’s health. The quarterback who missed all of training camp with a lower back injury said he has no limitations as his team got back to practice on Wednesday.

“I definitely was very happy with how I woke up the next day and on Tuesday and how I feel today standing here,” said the Ravens quarterback. “I definitely feel like I came out of the game great and just getting better and better.”

The same can’t be said for Danny Woodhead, the veteran running back hurt his hamstring early in Sunday’s game.

“It’s going to take Danny at least four weeks probably to get back. We’ll see where it goes from there,” said Ravens head coach John Harbaugh.

This week the Cleveland Browns come to town.  It wouldn’t be the Browns if they didn’t have a new quarterback.  This year it’s rookie out of Notre Dame, DeShone Kizer, who was 20 for 30, for 222 yards throwing, with a touchdown and an interception in a three point week one loss to the Steelers. He also rushed for a touchdown.

“We don’t know much about DeShone Kizer obviously as we would most quarterbacks that we play. So there is an unknown there,” added Harbaugh.

“He hasn’t had much experience against NFL-ready defenses. The more you can confuse the quarterback, the better,” said Ravens safety Tony Jefferson.

The Ravens are 16-2 against the Browns under John Harbaugh. They’ll be looking for win No. 17 when things get going Sunday at 1:00 p.m.
