The 3A and 4A girls high school basketball state semifinals were held at Towson University’s SECU Arena on Thursday.
In 4A defending champion Catonsville overcame a 17-point deficit to defeat Bethesda-Chevy Chase 63-51.
Jasmine Dickey scored a game-high 30 points and pulled down 17 rebounds for the Comets.
Catonsville will play Eleanor Roosevelt on Saturday at 3 p.m. at SECU Arena for the state title.
In 3A C. Milton Wright lost to defending state champion Frederick 54-37.
Sydney Frank scored 11 points for the Mustangs. Sydney Bukowski added 10 points. C.M Wright ends its season with the record of 24-3.
In the other 3A semifinal Long Reach edged Poly 66-61.
Lyric Swann scored 20 points, including five three-pointers, to lead the way for the Lightning. Arianna Briggs-Hall added 18 points.
Brash Rice paced the Engineers with 19 points.
Long Reach will play for its first state championship in program history against Frederick on Saturday at 8 p.m. at SECU Arena.
